To ensure our members have access to care when they need it, WHA expanded its telehealth options* in non-emergency situations. We recommend that you try to reach your PCP first, but for virtual urgent care in non-emergency situations, try Teladoc, the global leader in telemedicine is available for urgent care needs.
Teladoc is available to members 24/7: Regular daytime hours or after hours or weekends – when you need to reach a healthcare professional for a minor, urgent care needs.
Quick to connect: Teladoc lets members connect with a healthcare professional, often within 30 minutes.
Ideal for minor injuries/illness: Injuries such as sprains, strains, rashes, burn or cut; and minor illnesses, such as cold/flu symptoms or upset stomach, pink eye, or sinus infection as a few examples. Using your smartphone, members can talk with a doctor to get a diagnosis and treatment.
When you set up a Teladoc account: Make sure to select a local, WHA in-network pharmacy. If the doctor prescribes medication, it is submitted electronically or by phone to the pharmacy of your choice. Teladoc will automatically notify you (through the message center) when your prescription is submitted. We suggest contacting your selected pharmacy to confirm when your prescription will be ready for pick up (or delivery).
