It helps your doctor see if your diabetes care plan is working (it’s good to do this at least once a year). It’s a blood test done at a doctor’s office/lab (different from testing your blood sugar at home).

Completing your cervical cancer screening, also known as a Pap test or Pap smear, is one of the best things you can do to prevent cervical cancer. For most women, this will likely happen at your regular checkup. This screening is free* as part of your WHA health plan and a safe way to protect your health.
When you complete your cervical cancer screening (Pap test/Pap smear) – Fill out this form to receive a $20 gift card. When you have your yearly checkup, ask your doctor (or OB/GYN) about getting your pap test if you have not done so already. When you complete your test, we invite you to complete the entry form to claim your $20 gift card - it's just WHA's way to say "good for you" for taking care of your preventive health!
*To qualify, the exam must have been completed within the past year. Limited to one submission per year. Coverage for WHA services depends on your plan and eligibility at the time of service. Free Blood Sugar Monitor Offer!
Available to WHA members with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes and who want to monitor blood sugar levels, Optum is offering blood sugar meters at no cost. Talk to your doctor or diabetes educator. They can help you select the meter that’s right for you. Optum has two models available.
Get a voucher to redeem locally. When WHA members request a Contour Next meter from Ascensia Diabetes Care fulfillment centers, they will now receive a voucher. Members can use the voucher to redeem a meter at no cost from their local in-network pharmacy counter, where they also obtain test strips and other diabetes supplies.
Vouchers are available through their call center by calling: 800-401-8440. Vouchers are available on the external Ascensia Diabetes Care website without requiring a login.

WHA members interested in getting fit and staying healthy can choose Active&Fit Direct, which allows them to work out at any fitness center in their network. The monthly cost is just $25 (plus tax where applicable) – that’s less than $1 a day! In addition, WHA has partnerships with other health clubs that are not part of the Active&Fit network. Incentives are open to children aged 0 – 24 months. Members can submit a subsequent form upon completion of immunizations at each well-baby visit (between July 2023 – July 2025).
